Modern translation technologies

Moderne Übersetzungstechnologien

Modern technologies are also finding their way into the translation industry. Translation technologies help us to set higher quality standards and increase productivity and effectiveness. This gives us, and our customers, a decisive competitive advantage. We use a variety of different technological tools in our company, which we have finely tuned to work together like cogs in a clockwork mechanism to optimise the translation process.

Below, we have compiled a selection of our most important translation tools with a brief description. You can find further information and answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) on the topics of maschine translation, translation memory and terminology management systems via the link in the respective box. We are of course always happy to answer any questions you may have and provide advice.

Our technologies at a glance

Project management software

No matter how large your project is, our project management software allows us to keep track of the current status of the translation at all times. This enables the project manager responsible to monitor and manage the entire translation process.

Lokalisierungswerkzeuge

Localisation is the translation of a text taking into account specific factors, such as cultural context. We use our tools to localise the user interface of software and websites so that your products are well received all over the world.

Translation Management System (TMS)

We use our TMS to automate the translation process in order to increase efficiency. It also allows us to centralise linguistic resources in order to standardise your terminology and promote internal collaboration among translators.

Machine Translation (MT)

A MT is a translation performed by a semi-automated machine without human intervention. We use neural machine translation to reduce costs and increase translation speed for our customers..

Translation-Memory (TM)

A TM is a repository for completed translations that can be retrieved when a text is repeated. The more repetitions there are in a text or in subsequent texts, the more time and, above all, money can be saved.

Terminology management system.

Such a system is a database in which terms of various kinds – e.g. technical or customer-specific – can be managed. This ensures terminological consistency that goes far beyond the individual text.

Revision tools

Revision is the bilingual review of content in the target language in comparison with the content in the source language. We use professional tools to ensure that the revision stage of the translation process runs smoothl

Desktop-Publishing (DTP)

We use standard text and DTP programmes such as Word, PageMaker, Indesign, Framemaker, Corel Ventura, etc. to create documents in your corporate design and in your preferred file format. Older formats are also supported!

Quality assurance tools

Our sophisticated and automated quality assurance tools are an integral part of our translation management and project management system. This ensures that your translation is correct down to the last detail.
